Why Isn’t My Campaign Sending?

Understand what LinkedIn actually restricts and how to automate outreach without putting your account at risk.

Follow these checks when your campaign is active but no outreach activity is appearing.

If your campaign isn’t sending, don’t immediately rebuild the campaign.

Start by checking the campaign status, sender, limits, schedule, lead list, and sequence.

Most sending issues can be narrowed down by checking these areas in order.

Step 1: Check Campaign Status

Open Campaigns and find the campaign.

Confirm that the campaign is active and hasn’t been:

  • Left as a draft.

  • Paused.

  • Completed.

  • Otherwise prevented from running.

If the campaign is paused, resume it after confirming that the configuration is ready.

Step 2: Check Your LinkedIn Sender

Open the campaign and verify the selected LinkedIn sender.

Confirm that:

  • The correct sender is selected.

  • The LinkedIn account is connected.

  • The sender is available for campaign use.

  • The sender does not require attention.

If the sender is unavailable, campaign actions may not be processed.

Step 3: Check Sending Limits

Review the sender’s configured limits.

Check limits for the activity your sequence uses, such as:

  • Connection requests.

  • Messages.

  • InMails.

  • Profile views.

  • Follows.

  • Other supported actions.

If a limit has already been reached, the campaign may need to wait until activity becomes available again.

Avoid increasing limits simply because a campaign isn’t sending. First determine which limit is affecting the campaign.

Step 4: Check the Schedule

Review the sender’s schedule.

Confirm:

  • The campaign is scheduled to run on the current day.

  • The current time falls within the configured active hours.

  • The schedule hasn’t been accidentally changed.

  • The sender is using the expected schedule.

If the campaign is outside its scheduled hours, activity may not begin until the next available window.

Step 5: Check Your Lead List

Open the campaign’s lead-list settings.

Make sure:

  • A lead list is selected.

  • The list contains leads.

  • Leads are available for the campaign.

  • Exclusion settings aren’t removing the leads you expected to contact.

A campaign cannot process outreach if there are no eligible leads available.

Step 6: Check Your Sequence

Open the campaign’s Sequence step.

Review:

  • Whether the sequence contains actions.

  • Whether actions are configured correctly.

  • Whether required message content is present.

  • Whether personalization variables are valid.

  • Whether delays or conditions are preventing the next action.

  • Whether the sequence is complete.

If you imported a template, review every action rather than assuming the template is ready to launch without changes.

Step 7: Check for Completed Actions

A campaign may appear inactive because its available leads have already completed the relevant sequence actions.

Review campaign activity and Analytics to determine whether the campaign has already processed its available actions.

If there are no remaining eligible leads or actions, the campaign may not generate new activity.

Quick Troubleshooting Checklist

Work through these checks in order:

☐ Campaign is active.

☐ Correct LinkedIn sender is selected.

☐ LinkedIn sender is connected and available.

☐ Sending limits are available.

☐ Sender schedule is active.

☐ Lead list is selected.

☐ Eligible leads are available.

☐ Exclusions aren’t removing the intended leads.

☐ Sequence contains valid actions.

☐ Messages and personalization variables are configured.

☐ No sequence condition or delay is preventing the next action.

☐ Campaign has remaining actions to process.

Still Not Sending?

If you’ve checked everything above and the campaign still isn’t generating activity:

1.      Note the campaign name.

2.      Note the LinkedIn sender being used.

3.      Check the campaign status.

4.      Check the sender status and limits.

5.      Review the campaign schedule.

6.      Check the lead list and sequence.

7.      Review recent campaign activity.

8.      Contact Support with these details.

Providing the campaign, sender, and the checks you’ve already completed will make it easier to troubleshoot the issue.
